...this evening, minding my business. I see approaching in my rear view something huge and yellow. It pulls along side me. It's too tall and I'm too low so I can't see the driver, but it's a big 'ole late model Charger with dealer black accent stripes down the side and black after market wheels. He blips the throttle a few times and at the green light, he barrels on to the next light a block away. Sounds like a after market exhaust.
As I drive to the next light I can see he has dual wide black stripes running from the rear window down to the rear bumper. I pull along side him again. The Charger is immense! He blips the throttle a couple of times again, hard.
As I leave him at the light, and falling behind rapidly, I notice he has dual wide black stripes on the hood as well. I think he wishes he now owned a C5. Beleive me, this was no race. Just another Texas Saturday evening...
Man...I loved those Chargers/Cudas/GTO's... the good ol' days... Disclaimer: not to diminish the cars of today...
Sure, but i can get C5 parts just about anywhere. I love to see the older cars till driven hard on the road today. There's more custom parts having to be made or old parts being found. I think it says alot when somebody can keep an old muscle car running in mint condition on the streets.

Everybody complains about the price of corvette parts. Try restoring a 1969 Mustang Mach 1 Had it for twenty years and sold it to buy the vette. No regrets though
