Iv'e used this for years and it works great. My Dad had chunks of tar from a freshly laid road. God knows how long it was there. I told my Dad I can't guarantee anything, but I'll try. I used a little elbow grease, boy I was amazed!!!
Drove thru a road construction site yesterday and ended up with lot of tar on the car! Any recommendation for the best product to remove it without harming the paint finish??
Thanks!
PEANUT BUTTER YES WITHOUT THE NUTS CREAMY SPEAD ON WAIT 10 MINUTES WIPE OFF YOU WILL BE HAPPY!!!!!!!!PAINT AND WAX WILL STILL BE THERE!!!!!!!!
I use Prep-sol. You can find this at any body shop supply. Wipe on wipe off, and clean, then wax afterwards. Safe for your cars finish as well. I use it to remove rubber after a race.
This is by far the best and safest way to remove tar and anything else from your base-coat clear-coat !
I use Griot's car wash. Perfectly safe for your paint and wax, and a little elbow grease gets everything but very heavy globs off. 3M adhesive remover for anything that's left.
