Default Final dyno numbers

As some of you may remember,I just recently had 243 heads,B+B shorty headers,ls6 intake and a tune done on my 98 a-4.

Now,actually the tune is not yet 100% done, but I don't see myself getting to much more out of it,maybe a couple

There is some turbulance in the graph at @ 5,500 rpm's and we ran out of time To be continued later

Anyways,I was tired of being underpowered by the new c-6,and still wanted to retain driveability( for now)thus no cam swap yet.

So,with a baseline of 304, She put down a best of 337.63rwhp,and 339.97 tq

So armed now with Bilstein sports,zo6 springs, and hotchkiss sways............
I can hang with the newer rides,at or near the c-5 zo6 level..AND,I am 100% smog legal( except for the vararam )

Man, do I love this car again....

Big props to Sean at Orange County Corvettes!

Thanks guys!
I know these are by no means "thundering" numbers, but that is not what I was shooting for.
I was shooting for c-6 numbers,..and I am right there..

Nice numbers Joe... I was also unhappy with my hp and tq and wanted the power ratings comparable to the new C6 Z06. Opted for a very mild streetable twin turbo setup. If you ever wish to go a little more look into a TTi Stage 1 setup.

I'm a little confused why you swapped out the heads but left the stock cam? If driveability and emissions were a factor, why not install ZO6 heads/cam? Pass smog every time and would have made for a MUCH nicer horsepower gain. While there you could have installed an underdrive pulley. The cam and pulley would have easily got this combo over the 350 rwhp mark and really let you hang with the C6's and ZO6's........

Either way, good luck with your combo.

It's kinda along story, but it really has to do with being a budget upgrade...........I scored these heads at such a good price,I couldn't wait to put them on

Cam is in the near future........Underdrive pulley is not really what I personally would do,but it works for many

I know it sounds kinda weird to some of you....but hey, that's me

And if I am going to put a cam in,it will be slightly stouter, yet conservative, than the z06 cam

220 Range.........hoping for another 30, or so( actually,I really like the stealth II cam, even though it's a bit larger than I just stated)

No matter what you do it's not enough. In 6 months it will seem slow and you will have to spend more bucks.

Leave the cam stock.................
Put in a nice 3K stall and 3.42 gears and let it become a quiet hammer like our 00' vert

Were these stock 243 heads or was any machining done to them?
