Default Cruise In information

Is there a specific thread here which covers the often mentioned “Cruise-In?” I believe one was just held at the end of May.

Is there anyone or a group which is usually responsible for handling any details for specific groups?

Where do the people usually stay?

How many Corvettes are usually there for the Cruise-In?

Are there typically events scheduled?

Is there a thread here with pictures from the last Cruise-In?

Thanks for the reply dadvan99, but that is not really what I am trying to find out? I was just at the museum (have some raffle tickets), and toured the plant.

I am interested in what size crowd of Corvette owners attends the Cruise-in, and what other activities are involved. I believe the Cruise-in lasts for 3 days, are the dates the same each year?

So thanks again for the answer you did provide.

Yes, Memorial Day weekend - Thursday through Sunday morning. Most of us get there on Wednesday.

The NCM arranges the Cruise In and events. Lots of other events occur that are unscheduled but highly entertaining - like burnout contests.

The Hampton in Bowling Green. We have all boycotted the Baymont Inn - they shafted too many people over the past 2 years.

Around 400 Vettes and about 500 people. Many of us are repeat offenders, er.. I mean, repeat visitors.

Yes, from sanctioned drag racing, auto cross, and cruises to car shows and dinners.

Yes, there are many. See my post above for just a few pics. In the National Section, there are many other pics.

Adam Boca with the Museum puts a post up each year, usually around Feb or March announcing the Cruise In. Or you can go to the NCM web site and it will be on there.

Thanks EnglandGreen

That is the information I was trying to find, and I know this will sound a bit strange, but do all of the Corvettes (at some time/event) get all parked together during the Crusie In? That seems to me it would be a great wide angle photo shot.

Around 400 Vettes and about 500 people.

No, parking for 400 cars would be difficult unless it's in a field or someplace like that.

We all tend to do our own thing as there are many events and gatherings, so the only time there is a massive gathering of Vettes is at the NCM for the car show on Saturday. The hotel might appear to be the ideal location, but some people stay at other hotels.
