Well, took the plunge. Got a great deal with Karl Johanson (supporting vendor) on MY 02 Z06. Now I just have to be able to wait 'till January to get it :(
So during the months to come, I've got allot of time to think about the options I want on the car (all three of 'em). The memory / mirrors is a no-brainer for me, but not so the BSMs. I definately did not want them on my Silver '98 coupe, but I'm just not sure on the MY Z06.
Can you guys show me pics of your MY with and without BSMs? Pros and Cons (don't want to turn this into another holy war though (they suck! they rock!)) :boxing
If you get it WITH, you can always remove them and make it WITHOUT. It's a little harder if you don't order them up front. Just my .02. It's what I'm doing.
My MY Z06 came with BSM. First I thought I'd remove it as soon as I get it, now I don't mind it so much. Like Jerry said, you can alway remove it, but its a little harder to get if you order your car without.
Brian,
Just picked up my new 02 Z06 Blk/Blk from Kerbeck's in Alantic City yesterday, it came without BSM, they order all of the Vettes without the
BSM, I happen to like it and when I asked them what they wanted to
paint it and install, they quoted me a price in excess of 400 bucks, it is
approximately 85 bucks from the General and goes on with adhesive,
some have reported removing them, I believe you could do it but it would
require a lot of care to ensure you did not mess up the paint, I will
probably have them added but not a Kerbeck's, lots of good paint shops
out there trying to make a living. FWIW
