Default Z06 wheels

I posted this in the tech section but nobody could help...

Will C5 Z06 wheels fit a regular C5 and would regular C5 factory sized tires fit on C5 Z06 wheels?

I'd like to get rid of my wagon wheels but the tires are new...

Thanks for any input!

Yes, they will. I have that combination on my car.

Cool, so my stock regular C5 tires will fit the Z06 wheels? Thanks!

Yep, they fit. They will bulge a bit due to the 1 inch wider width, but they will work fine. I've had this combination for 1 1/2 year and it works fine. I did this for the same reason you state, plus you can't find run flat tires in z06 sizes.

Is the bulge real obvious?

I just put them on my 2002 C5 coupe 2 weeks ago and they look good. As far as the tires though you'll probably want to buy the ZO6 size tires since you'll really be stretching the C5 size to fit that rim. I don't know if you can stretch them to fit.

Hmmm, does the Z06 size tire come in a run flat?

I can e-mail you some close up pix if you like. Just supply an e-mail address.

I have michelin pilot sport zp tires. They have an extra layer of rubber around the rim to protect the rim. That works great, but it does make the tire look more bulged.

it'll fit just like it does on a Z06, 0 difference

ALL C5 use the same A-Arms, Same Spindles, Same Wheel bearing, Same Brake hardware (+ or - powdercoating) same fenders. The only changes made to the Z06 suspension were the spring rate, shock valving, and sway-bars. Z06s also add rear brake ducts. The only thing that will affect wheel fitment is the brake ducts which means the Z06s have less room for rear wheels if they want to keep the ducts and they only come in to play if you want to put 335s on a 12" rim

They look better than the stock wheels. The 1" more fills out the wheelwells. I have them on my car. I also have the F-1s on, so much quieter than runflats.

i'm pretty sure he's asking if a 275 tire will work with a 10.5" wheel.

the tire won't bulge as stated, it may be a bit more stretched because the wheel is wider.

Yes, the Z06 wheels will fit and the tires will work on the Z06 rims. Not the optimal tire size, but until they wear out, you should be fine.

When I bought my C5 the previous owner had chrome reproduction Z06 wheels on it and used the stock regular C5 runflats. You can clearly tell that the tires were "stretched" to fit on the rim but it certainly didnt look bad.
Here the pic clearly shows the slightly to narrow front tire on the Z06 wheel.
