Just a reminder to everyone who has wheel locks to make sure you have the manufacturer and part number in a safe place in case you loose your key adapter.
I was going to check my brake pad wear and I was unable to find mine. I was fortunate that I knew the manufacturer (McGard) and I was able to get a replacement by e-mailing them a digital photo of the locking lug nut. They compared and matched it to their stock. It only cost $14.99 including shipping. Not bad at all.
It could have been a real pain in the a$$ if I had needed to change a tire or wheel in an emergency.
Sounds like your wheel locks did their job!...by keeping YOU from taking your wheels off. Do yourself a favor and replace them with regular lugs because they are NO hindrance to anyone who wants to steal your wheels.
