Just purchased a 99 FRC Hardtop and noticed a small problem. The drivers door sags slightly so that it doen't mate with the latch mechanism in the jam properly. The passenger door closes perfectly. There are no air or water leaks.
Is this normal on these cars?
Can I loosen the hinge bolts and raise the door slightly?
I did have that exact problum and a few more! I bought an extended warenty so I had the dealer fix that, and replace the door seals and window seals and Im damn glad I did! and ya I have the "99" F.R.C.

Yes, the door hinges allow for adjustment and the procedure is in the service manual. It's unclear whether this can be done without removing panels.
To adjust the door up/down, you need to loosen the set of hinge bolts on the pillar side one at a time and move the hinge, not the door. Then retighten the hinge bolts before loosening and adjusting the other hinge.
1 - Loosen upper hinge to the hinge pillar bolts.
2 - Reposition hinge up to raise the door or down to lower it.
3 - Tighten the upper hinge bolts (22 lb. in.)
4 - Repeat for lower hinge.
The door can also be adjusted in/out by doing the same procedure on the door side of the hinge.
