Default New mods

I've had my vette for less than 1/2 a year now but ever since I've joined this forum, I've been getting influenced by all of you guys to mod-my-ride. So far, I've put in a magnaflow cat-back, a supertuner handheld tuner, and a vararam intake (thanks to IDM for selling it to me). I haven't even got the intake installed yet and I'm already thinking, "what next?" I don't like fiddling around with the engine too much so I prefer the bolt on type upgrades. I know a lot of you guys suggested cams the last time I posted a similair thread but I'm a bit hesitant to go that route. I'm thinking headers (since I've already got cat backs)and was wondering if that's a good way to go. If not, let me know what else is out there. Thanks guys.

Sunny

Intake and headers/exhaust should be among the first performance mods you do. If you do decide on headers, go with a package deal, headers, high flow cats, mid or x pipes. I went with Dynatech, good price/quality. BTW, go with long tubes, shorty headers don't do anything.

Headers would be a nice mod.

Definitely headers. You'll love the sound and the torque

Sounds like headers are the way to go. I forgot to mention that my magnaflow catbacks had an x-pipe with them. Would that suffice? I also have on stock cats. Should I get high-flow cats with the headers? We have this air pollution test thingee here that you have to do bi-annually, would high flow cats effect the result? Thanks in advance guys.

Sure, blame it on us. If all of your friends jumped off of a bridge, would you do it?

i just ordered the LG street series the other day. i too have the magnaflow catback with x-pipe. i just wanted the headers and hi flow cats at first since i already have the x-pipe. they suggested to get the whole system to avoid any issues with fitment. i'll just sell my x-pipe after removal.

I plan on going with gears (3:90) before headers. About the same price, and I'll enjoy the extra low end torque during everyday driving a lot more than the high end pull that headers will supply. I'll do headers when I do heads & cam. At that point, I'll really need them.
