Default Very close to pulling a different trigger

Well after months of waiting and a recent positive financial change in my life I may be changing horses. After years of corvette ownership, I realize the C5 Z06 is and always will be a blast. I've owned four vettes in my lifetime.

I started shopping for a new 06 Frod GT, which I have to admit has always been a child hood dream, I got hooked. I am very close to closing a deal at significantly less than MSRP (Red/Wht stripes).

Well what that means is I will be selling my 04 C5Z06 with 15,000 miles. She is Blk on Blk FLAWLESS inside out and used mostly as a long distance driver (my company) from So Cal to a military base in Yuma AZ - she saw 172mph on a remote road of the base - ONCE. I have never done a burnout in the car and the only mods are the devider, Stainless door sills (entry) and floormat upgrades. Also has the 3M Clear Bra, two covers and shorty antenna. The car has been color sanded and polished by a PRO and has absolutely no orangepeel or swirl marks.

I had the rear window re-beaded by the dealership (slite noise) and a rear end leak fix approx one year ago.

I am asking for a 7 month residual payoff of a lease plus the actual residual payoff itself. I am asking below KBB and below what they have been selling for - so please PM me if you are serious.

Its been a great ride and dont really think I am upgrading (for those that want to start an argument). It really has never been about being the fastest. - I genuinely enjoyed the ride and the fact that it is US made. I know I'll be sorry to see her go..

Cheers!

Sounds cool, but maybe you should have posted this in C5 for sale?

I wouldn't do it, not sell the c5 for a Ford GT. I would keep the z06, because its a daily driveable (very reliable) car, while Ford Gt is not. However, I love the GT too. Nothing like it for styling, hard to believe how old that design is.

Thanks for the comments. I fell in love all over again from when I was 5 and I got my first glimse of the GT40.

I just retired (at 47) so a daily driver is not a good reason enough to keep her. I have toyed with SCCA, but the wife is not sold.

I have plenty of other cars for different daily drivers.

I like the GT also, but the way the doors roll into the top makes it a pain in the butt to get out of if you can't open them all the way. Love the styling though. Good luck.
