Honestly, that sounds like a rotten deal. Although they are willing to pay off your negative equity in your current car, $1100/month * 60 months and a $2,500 down payment is $68,500. You are paying full MSRP to LEASE a car. Seriously you could own an '07 C6 Z06 for $68,500 if you are willing to order one and wait a bit.

Horrid deal.....Run away from it. LEASE EQUALS RENT, except that you cannot return it whenver you want to, They have you by the BA**S. If you are a large corporation that needs to keep capital assets down, then you lease. In fact what you usually do is set up a seperate Corporation to buy the goods, then deperciate the value as a write off while you lease it to the first corporation who writes of the line item expense of the monthy lease payment. If your a consumer, you likely have no legitimate tax shelter reason to have a car lease. Consumer leases are a total rip off. I have a friend who leased a new Toyota, then put too many miles on it so at lease end he had to either pay $4,800 in over-miles fines, or buy the car for about 7 grand....Now, this is a car you can buy anywhere in town as a used car for about $3,500 bucks. He ended up buying his lease car with a 5 year finance contract. His total cost to purchase what is now an old *** Toyota, first his down payment, Plus 5 years of lease payments, Plus 5 years of payments at lousy interest rates will be about 8 Grand more than my 98 C5 purchase..
Your deal......
$$ AMount is way to high
LEASEs Sucks

You sure the manager is family? Fully loaded C6 Z06 is about 72,000 + tax + luxury since it's over $39,000. So if the $80 G figure is everything included ( tax, title and all other confusing little fees), I guess it's ok. But instead of leasing it, why don't you just buy it? I figured if you can afford $1100 in payments, a few more hundred dollars wouldn't matter, but if you can't afford to add anymore, just like the other members say -BAD DEAL!!!!
BTW, no offense but this is probably better discussed in the C6 General.

Hi S281ER238 -

Sounds like a great deal - for the seller.

I would look for one at a more reasonable price.

best regards -

That is, in fact, an anti-deal. I was looking for the sarcasm in your post but then realized that you were serious. you should slap your cousin AFTER rampaging through their lot on a test drive.

...and why is it exactly that you're asking this type advice of the folks here in C5 General rather than in C6 General?
