new optima, same result
i just installed a new optima red top, car still wont start, just clicking noise. just got the car(99 coupe) back from the body shop on friday. thought they may have drained and killed the old optima(3+years old), they had the car 2 weeks to paint the hood, fenders and door.i know they took the fenders, nose and hood of to paint. looks like i may have other problems, anyone have any suggestions ?

Did it start at the shop and drive home?

You could have a "grounding" problem. There are seven chassis grounds...
