Default Question from a Newbie

What's up forum members? I can't get enough of this site. Here is my first official post. I just recently purchased Goodyear EMT's for my '98 Coupe. They are mounted on the original 17" & 18" wagon wheels. I have been shopping for C5 z06 wheels and know that they are the same size setup but but according to Tire Rack, the tires are different (wider?) My question is, will my Goodyear OEM EMT's fit the C5 z06 wheels? I just don't want to have to buy new rubber if I replace the rims. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum!
The Z06 wheels are an inch wider then the stock coupe wheels. I've heard the stock tires will fit, but look funny. You can get aftermarket Z06 wheels in the stock coupe size.

You can also get these decals which make the wagon wheels look good:

Welcome to the Forum. As JeffC5 said, you can get Z06 wheels in the stock sizes if you want, but The Z06 size reproduction wheels really aren't that much money. Why not get the wider ones and new non-runflats for those. Use them in town, then when you need to go out of town put on the wheels with runflats so you won't have to worry. Just an idea.

You can buy repo wheels that are stock sizes for under $600 delivered to you door. They are very nice, check out the forum venders, one inch wider wheels are very hard to notice, even if you spend the money for new tires. STOP, you just paid for new rubber, buy wheels to fit the tires you have and if you want, you can go bigger when it is time to buy new rubber....

Welcome

You can get a set of Chrome Z06 Reproduction wheels such as these in standard C5 sizes that will accept your recently purchased Goodyear EMT's :

I'm a C4'r but welcome. I just put a set of after market C6 wheels on my vert and they look great. I also installed a set of Goodyear F1 G3-D3's. Could not be happier with the setup.
