If I start watching this, I will end up motaging my freakin' house for more mods!!. I will just have to read the closing chapter when it's DONE. Somehow I don't think it will be, the creative juices just keep flowing. Good Luck!!

Wait and see, OK, I'm game.
I love watching all this but I know enough not to try it myself. In the words of the noted philosopher Clint Eastwood, "a man's got to know his limitations".

but you can never expand your limitations if you aren't willing to learn.

Remember failure is learning process -- don't be afraid of failure and you will find that you CAN expand your limitations.

Or in the words of that famous philospher, whoever he is, "life is not a dress rehearsal."

EG is definitely expanding my universe with his chronicles.

Thanx EG!!

Well since it says "tool" I guess it's not the flux capacitor.

mystery tool is a drill press - also in the picture is an oxy-acetylene or propane - oxygen cutting torch, a right angle clamp for holding materials at a true right angle when welding, and what appear to be 2 welding magnets which hold metal in place (in various positions) when welding

Bigger question now is - what the hell are you doing??? I thought the dremel tool on the inside of the fender wells was bad enough -

I think the welding and cutting equipment is for the custom roll cage.

I HAVE to buy a house so I can get in on all the modding/buying tools fun.

Keep it up EG. For now I will live vicariously through you.

UPDATE
The last few days have been slow going - distracted with other tasks and hobbies.

Back to work - removed battery box. Bracket will be cut out shortly.

And removed stock starter wires. New wires will be run from the trunk.

Cleaned up the PCM area in preparation for what's to come...

Off to the rear of the car. Cut off the rivets with the Dremel

And removed the targa top lower mounts

OK. Finally ready to start creating the form for the tub

Nice work and like the idea of more carnage, to make Grond really unique

And this afternoon with my Grandson we made some special Ghetto ramps so I now can use my floor jack again. We tested them this afternoon and they worked great, a quick shot of us with the car starting to be jacked up. Thanks for the specs

Learned to weld 25 years ago. OA, ARC & MIG. Never tried TIG but can't be much different from a combo of ARC & MIG.

So yes, I know how to use that thing
