Just curious, but how much work and $$ is involved w/ a paint job like that?
There was a learning curve with this. The guy is a graphic artist that usually does motorcycles. Had this done and cleared in 3 days, but called and said that he didn't like the way the 'licks' looked whem they crossed over each other. They were shadowed to show one over the other, but it wasn't depicted that way. He wanted to outline each flame, so there wouldn't be any question which went over which...an extra 2 days. I needed to take it to Carlisle that Friday. He started it Monday morning, I got it that Thursday night 11:30 not totally done so I could leave for Carlisle 7AM. The pinstripes were proud...That is they stood out when you looked down the side, flames invisible, pinstripes very noticeable. Took it back the following week and sanded the car FLAT. For those that deal with 'orange peel', you know how long that takes. Sand, reclear, sand reclear twelve times before he was satisfied. I got it back after a week and a half. Had the car for 5 weeks before I saw the entire side lit up. True ghost is what I wanted, and got. As for $$$, it was still less than the Mag S/C.
The wife hates it...makes me like it all the more. And don't have to worry about her taking it for a spin.
NV...The headrests were made by CF member Tombone. Very comfortable and right on as for color match.
