Queston about Cooling Fans
I have a 98 Vette today I was driving in a local parade with Vette Club it was fun Kids got a kick seeing my head light go up and down 
.With A/C off ( had top off)
Hot day in the high 80's I notice that my temp was 220-225
. But I heard no fans come on. On my way home I turn on A/C when I pulled up I could hear fan and temp dropped to 190.When I got home looked for loose wires, but found none but notice if I turn A/C off fans will turn off.
Do I have have A/C on for engine fan to work??

I had the same question yesterday here on the forum. Look for my post. My temp shot up on NJ Turnpike Sat stuck in traffic. A/C was off. I dont think my fans ever came on.
If you can find my post, ther consensus was to turn on the A/c to immediately activate the fans and drop the water temp.
