Just saw one at Loews. I believe it was a Genie and was on sale. The fob was about the size of the Vette's fob. Zuti

That's what I have. I put velcro on the bottom of it and mounted it below the ignition on the carpeted area.

Why not add in homelink functionality to one of your visors? I think the factory look is much cooler then a jerry rigged remote velcro'd to your trannie tunnel.

That's just my opinion, I'm not starting a flame war.

Maybe SOME of us park our cars outside in the driveway...
Wouldn't the theives just love the free opportunity to be able to get into our home by breaking into our car & using the visor Homelink...

The Homelink is ONLY good for people who park inside a garage.

I have homelink in vehicles parked outside. There is a button on the garage opener on the wall inside the garage that I press at night that locks the opener so it can't be opened remotely.

Default Homelink

I totally agree that the way to go is to have to Homelink in the visor. I got one, took me about 5 minutes to replace, and off I went. It's great!

A lot of people get them on ebay - takes a little modding of the 'vette's visor to install. There may be some tech tips on that.

Search ebay on "homelink" and "visor."

Here is some other info that may help: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...light=homelink

Correction - go to ebaymotors.com

Carpetman2,
We have black units in stock and ready to ship.
We will provide a new visor with homelink for $195 or modify your visor for $135 .

Goto: http://www.vettemods.com for more info.

I you prefer to do the mod yourself here is a link;
http://www.digitalcorvettes.com/foru...light=homelink

"local auto trim shop to sew it up $5. " This is a tough find, I looked to several shops to sew my modded visors, the ones that would do it cheap came out looking like hell. The good shops wanted alot more and would not guarantee results. We wound up buying an industrial machine and have to hand crank to ensure a good factory appearing stitch.

Happy modding,
Rick
