I had someone install mine for me when i had several more mods done.
Last week the main crank bolt that holds that pulley on came loose and I threw belts off.....so....
Being a person a]of many mechanical abilities I decided I would just fix it myself.
I wanted to take it off and check the threads , etc just to make sure there wasn;t a bigger problem...you know, maybe it didn;t just come loos and there was a major problem.
Man....what a PITA it is to get the pulley off....to put loctite on the pulley bolt!!!!
I hope you replaced the bolt and didn't just retighten with loctite. The stock bolt is a torque-to-yield which means it stretches permanently when properly installed and must be replaced if loosened or removed. Only an ARP crank bolt can be reused as it is much stronger and remains elastic when torqued.
Pinning the pulley is highly recommended as it eliminates the possibility of the pulley loosening again unless you want it to.
I would get a pin kit and a new crank bolt. You will have to pull the steering rack loose but it should be pinned and you won't have to worry about it. Do a search on the pulley install as it will show you how to use a longer bolt to start the pulley on so you don"t strip the new bolt or possibly the crank snout.
As per" Patches"post you can't reuse the stock bolt it will not hold. Here is a link for an ARP bolt that is reuseable http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...hItemId=133563 I also pinned mine, you can get the drill fixture &pins from A&A or post a WTB ad. I also use a peice of threaded rod to install the pully so that the threads in the crank don't strip.
