old fashioned suspension test?
I was just wondering... my best friend and I got into a discussion about suspensions; specifically spring rates. He has an RX7 and I have my Z51 vette. Basically I found some info on my front spring rate, and he doesn't believe me at all that it is that high (525 lb/in).
Well, we happened to be driving our cars and stopped for gas. He did the old fashioned suspension test: put some weight over a fender by pressing down and guage the resistance, rebound, and overall compression.
What does this accomplish?
