I've noticed the gauge bezerls that are $140 are aluminum and there also anodized to keep from yellowing. None of the cheaper ones that I have seen are anodized. I don't really even know if that makes a difference. Just some food for thought!

Everyone I have looked at has been anodized, prices ranging from $80-$140. I have ordered mine from vettehop, so we will see what they look like when they get here.

I hope everything turns out great. Like I said, I don't know if anodizing the bezels stops them from yellowing or changing color (long term). I did look at vetteshop's bezels. Where does it say they're anodized? I see they are made from aircraft grade machined aluminum. I am looking to buy the bezels myself but see the price differences ($70-$150). West Coast Corvette and LAPD (forum vendor) both state on their items that they are anodized. There must be a reason they anodize there parts, just as there is probably a reason for half the price and no anodizing. If you have both bezels in your hand you probably can't tell the difference, though. Time can only tell.

I called and asked about them being anodized, he assured me they were, I will know more, maybe, when they get here. I agree, time will tell...
They look really terrific - I've been debating about doing this since I've had the car (3 years!). I just know the time it takes to get into the dash and if one came loose I'd ***LOSE*** my mind!
I +just+ read about someone who lost one! Ack!
I wonder what would happen if you left out the plexi for EZ access?

It takes about an hour to R&R the cluster. Figure two if it's your first time.
The job LOOKS far more intimidating than it actually is. It's pretty easy and straightforward. Once you do it, you'll get a laugh at how worried you were about tackling the job...and if for some reason you do have to pull out the cluster again in the future, you won't think of it as any big deal.
OK, cool I've been into the steering column and part of the dash surround when I did my VE steering wheel!
OT: I've been planning on a double DIN headunit and would likely finish the center console painted - thought about matching MY, didn't know if it was too much, but yours does look pretty cool...

It is a lot easier than you think, there are some great directions out there, I got mine with the HUD package from Josh, PaceThis, easy with directions.
