Default Ecklers just plain sucks...

Got to vent here... I know others have had problems with ecklers and now I know why. I ordered a car cover that they said was in stock. Waited a couple of weeks and never got it. Tried calling and was on hold for over 30 minutes, no answer. e-mailed and was told it was not in stock and would be a couple of weeks. I called again, waited a long time finally was told they would refund me and cancell the order. It has been over a month, they got my money and was told again, my order was never cancelled, but that they would refund me but it would take a few days. I never got the car cover, they have had my money for over a month and I still have not been refunded. ECKLERS will never get my business again. Just wanted to warm forum members..STAY AWAY FROM ECKLERS.......

Sorry to hear that. I too learned the hard way about these people. They will never get MY business again EVER!

I've never been hosed by Ecklers, but my experience with MAD is better.

Got burned from Eckler's also. Had to wait over 2 months for a refund. The first month I called the said they would credit my card. When I received my statement, no refund. Called again and they said they forgot to issue the refund. I finally got it. I know use Mid America and Zip Products. I have ordered from both of them with no problems. I agree, Eckler's does suck.

The prices they charge makes Neiman Marcus or Sac's Fifth Ave look like a K-Mart store.

Have not and will never buy anything from them. If the catalogs they send weren't all glossy type paper, I'd find a much better use of it in the small room of the house.

It's a shame that they can't seem to get on track. There have been so many negative threads on them in the past. I wish they would read these threads and make the required customer service improvements. Mid America is great to do business with, but Ecklers has some items that Mid America doesn't have, and visa-versa. They're both major suppliers of Vette products. I would think that they realize Mid America is tough competition for them, and strive to win us over. If anybody knows any of their principal employees, it might be helpful to forward them links to these threads.

IMO, they don't want to spend the money to hire extra workers - or better performing employees; and are wiloing to accept the negativity (as long as sales stay on an -at least - straight line).

I agree that it's a shame. All the negative reports over the past couple of years and nothing seems to be done to correct it.

and If they would pay more than Florida wages they might be able to hold on to some of the people they get !!!!!

ordered a shade for my glass top on june 16th I called two weeks ago and they said they had sent it out, called a week later they said it went out today and I would recieve it on the 13th. she admitted that it was not in stock when they said it was being shipped, she did discount it. The fact they lied to me makes me doubt if this kid will ever do business with them again. They do stock items you can't get at other vendors but they need to get their act togather AND i told them they were getting blasted on the forum, she knew...
