Roll Bar
Why don't they build a roll bar in the convertable Corvette's ??

I have read that the windshield can handle the stress, thus they are not needed.

I agree, there should be a roll bar for the verts. If you draw a line from the top of the windshield down to the top of the deck(which is where the car would be resting in a roll over) you will see that your head will be way above that line. Next thing on the mod list is a 5 point bar.

What is the chance that you could flip a C5? I think that you might have a better chance of an asteroid coming from space and smashing the hood (OK so I did not pay attention is statictics class).
Honestly I think that GM probably looked at the chance or roll overs and decided it was not needed.
