Default C5 Instrument Cluster

2001 Z51 with 72k miles.
The information display and the back lights are not operational.I removed the cluster and found several components burnt. I found replacement clusters on Ebay.If I replace the cluster will the mileage reflect the replacement cluster or the actual mileage on my Vette?

The mileage is stored on the IPC and or cluster, whatever you want to call it.
Here's a thread that will give you the answer you are looking for :

And if your game, you can swap out the module that stores the mileage from your unit to the one you purchase.
