Decent iPod mounting kit?
I've been keeping my iPod in the center console but it get's hotter than heck in there. I'm wondering if anyone has found a decent iPod mount? I'v seen the ones that mount to the vent and that's not what I'm looking for.

Check the audio section. I'm in the process of installing a dock into the cup holder that will be hidden when the lid is closed. But for now, I just have the i-pod resting in there, and it's working great in that spot. I bought a couple of Girl-In-A-Box cupholders and put them both on the passenger side. Still within easy reach and a lot better.

I really like the swivle mount that I got from http://www.proclipusa.com. It's perfectly positioned for me

That ProClip mount looks good. It figures... I keep my iPod cased (using a Brando metal case now with an iSkin Evo3 on the way) so I can use the killer dock version that supports the iPod2Car cable. Figures!

I like both of the setups above, but I'm real picky about not wanting cables or cords to be visible. I discovered that the Apple dock will fit inside the cupholder, but it's too tall to fit and allow the cup holder lid to close. So I'm going to cut the bottom of the cupholder for a custom fit. I like the idea of having a "stealth" docking system in the car for quick in, quick out with no cords.
