gonna do the long tube header install today or tomorrow..Anything to look for while im there? Do i need to remove anything prior to putting them in? Do they install from top or bottom? I bought the system used so i have no instructions!
You will have to remove the Alternator and steering linkage (I believe its only one bolt) Twist and wiggle hear and there.
huh? i didn't remove either of these to install the headers. Use ls1howto.com, the instructions there are very good.
Also, to get the drivers side in/out you really need the entire car about 20" off the ground. This is probably the most important step. You can get the passenger side in from the top w/o removing the starter but the drivers side must go in from the bottom. I'm thinking the drivers side may go in from the top if you remove the alternator/steering linkage though.
Huh, I just told him how I did it, and mine was not put in from the bottom on the drivers side, it was put in from the top (the only way it would go). I believe it matters what brand you have. I have texas speed headers and from talking to Jason they both go in from the top.

Yes, that does make a difference. The thread topic specifically says LG Headers.
