Build sheets are available from the museum, and are put in the front bumper by the factory. Yours may be in the car. Do a search, someone posted pics. Good luck.

Hey, maybe I am referring to what I am looking for with the wrong name. I am planning on buying a vette (hopefully) soon and I want to check all of the factory options and such from the car I am looking at. I know dealers and others have access to this information online from their network and can find it. I was just looking for that. Thanks though.

If its a newer C5 check the glove box, should be a sticker with all of the option codes. Unfortunatley, I am not sure of 99 but 98 or older is in the one of the back compartments, I think. But for sure 00 or newer will have a sticker in the glove box. Sorry I don't much information on the older ones but I am going off the top of my head here, in sort of a rush. I am pretty sure if you use the search function here you will be able to find what all of the codes translate to.
I've been looking for a specific year/color vette that has been hard to find. Anytime I do find one, it usually gets snapped up before I can respond. Pretty much I've been looking for a 2001 black C5 coupe (so far, pretty darn common) BUT with the light oak interior as well as nearly all the options. For some reason, the Black/Lt. oak is hard to come by.
Anyway, as they are hard to find, the ones I do find are usually out of state and so I like to get some checks on them before I schedule time to get out to these other states. Most of the dealers I've worked with have been slow to get back info to me, especially since I have to work over the phone or through e-mail.
To sum up, these build infos get me pretty much all the details about the vehicles without the time delay between requesting it and getting it from dealers. So if anyone can access the GM sales site (I believe you need passwords and user IDs and such) please get me a Build Info!
The system that the GM dealers and some folks on this Forum have access to for this info is the GM Vehicle Inquiry System (VIS). In addition to the Build Information that you are wanting, you can also get claim or service history along with other information from this system.
Zilla posted one CF member above that can inquire GM VIS for you. Two other CF members, ja03c5 and 99FewteRC5, also have run this info for others here lately. If someone doesn't reply to your thread here shortly with the info you are wanting, you might send a PM to one of these members.
