Default Need a little help...

Ever since I bought my C5 a year ago this has been bothering me... It looks likes at some point while putting the top on the previous owner "missed" the hole and now this piece is permanatly "bent". They probably left it this way for an extended period of time since the car is a 2000 only had 9k mile on it when I bought it. Besides the cosmetic factor it makes it difficult to put the top on.

Any ideas on how to fix it or where I can get a replacment (I'm not even sure what the piece is called)?

Thanks for any help.

Mmmm....I wonder if you could get some 2-part epoxy down in there and clamp it in place until the epoxy dries?

Nothing looks broken, just out of place. If you don't want to try it yourself a body shop could probably take care of if for a few bucks.

Give it some time and see what replies you get on the forum. You're probably going to hear from someone who had the same problem.

Good luck with the fix.

get new little black plastic clips from the parts dept. put them in and it will pull it back up in place. yours are probably gone or have been torn down out of their hole. there are two per side holding that black cover on. the plastic clips are push in type plugs that have ribs that hold them in tight
