Has anyone tried the Eckler color matched splash guards ($134/set). Trying to figure out if they would look/fit that much better than the cheaper black set that's being discussed for about $37 in this forum.
I just got the flat black splash guards and looked at the edge where it contacts the body. It is very hard stuff ( ABS ) and i was wondering if i should put some black silicone rubber on the edge to protect the clear coat. Has any one done this? is it really neccessary?
I installed the two front guards on my Arctic white 97, and I love them. They fit very well, look good, and keep the nasty stuff off of my front fenders and rocker panels. I installed them with 3M molding tape, which works great and does not cause any permanent damage to the car. I definitely recommend them. I haven't sprung for the back guards just yet....
