Default Vortex Ram Air CAI Questions...

How concerned do I need to be about driving my car in the rain with this CAI? I am having it installed this morning but did not know that a hole is cut into the radiator shroud, thus allowing any water / vapor to get into the throttle body. Is it a big deal? What can happen if water does get in there? Are we talking about a torential down pour or is it okay if it is just light rain.

I know that some of the Varram people have issues with this, I just need to know where I stand when it comes to driving in the rain.

Thanks.

Scott

(EDIT)
The hole is already cut so no going back.

I've driven mine in the rain with no problems. Just don't drive through deep water.

Are you talking about water up to the nose deep?

Thanks

Same here. Mine is dry after driving in pouring rain. Just dont go through a deep puddle (which you shouldn't do with any intake anyways)
