Anyone else have this problem with the window seals? Mine do it randomly on either door. Anybody have an explanation or a cure? I don't like to dig it out flat again because I don't want to scratch the paint. A friend has a similar problem on the rear gasket on the removable top.

I think the best (paint-safe) tool for the job is the underside of a fingernail starting just off to the side of the affected (by syndrome) area. I've always blamed inattentive car wash guys (odd being as they are car wash technicians) and hanging my arm out the open window.
I know how to fix it I just don't like the idea that it happens so much. Soft and pliable is taken care of by the 90 degree days of summer. I also use silicone on the rubber parts occasionally.
Sounds like "rogue rubber" syndrome.
Maybe just a dab of clear silicone under the rubber
once you get it back out. Then press it down in place
and wipe any excess. It should hold it in place
and allow for easy removal if necessary without
damaging the paint.
