This past week it hit 104 three days in a row. Heck I left the vette at home and drove the truck to work. Too hot to leave the vette out in the hot sun all day.

I bought my car with a smoked plexi top. Just found a matching color solid top on Ebay. Much cooler temp in summer, especially when parked outside at work. Plus, quiter due to thicker top material and insulation. I'll use it for "covered" days in summer, then back to smoked plexi for winter months.
All in all, the solid top is quieter and cooler.
The smoked top is nicer in winter months for more light.
Both have their place.

Why don't they have a nice pop in headliner that works well, the matrix one I herd sucks and looks like something anyone could trace and cut themselves, and the more expensive headliner doesn't go into against the glass which sucks for us taller people. Isn't there anything good out there?

I've read posts from several Southern owners who say the tranparent top is too hot in their hot summers. In N.J. and Ohio we seldom will have that problem. I hope that helps, a little.

I have both too, and here in Southern Cal, we have had 21 straight days of triple digit temperatures. The Glass top is great when the weather is cool, but in triple digits, you'll cook like a bag of pop corn in a microwave. During the summer, I keep the painted top on until winter.
