Is it a good idea to paint your wheelwells?, Mine apear grey and I want to get a dark black look. If you have and it turned out well, what paint did you use.

You bet!
About twice a year or more depending on how many car shows I attend. I use a flat black from Wal-Mart about $1.50/can. Make sure you mask off everything you don't want black as when you spray in that wheelwell the air/paint goes everywhere. It's a good time to do those calipers as you will have the wheels off. Plus get those rims clean inside and out! Good luck!

I use the tire foam cleaner stuff that turns your sidewalls shiney and black in my wheelwells... I can do it after arriving somewhere you want them to look nice and no worry about leaving black overspray on the car... Works very well!! I've done it for a long time... I know there was a thread about it a while back.. others do it too!! I use it in the front air ducts as well...

Try this..
Go to http://www.adamspolishes.com/site/de...369A&killnav=1 and get some "In & Out" spray ... that stuff is amazing... it renews the black of the plastic parts... use it on your cowl and in your engine bay too!

I do similar. Every now and then I just pull my wheels and wash all the mud, blood and beer from the wheel wells. I will spray with tire black, or vinyl treatment. I clean on the inside of my wheels at this time as well.

I found out about this stuff several years ago. Great product and works very well to make the wheel wells, weatherstripping, etc look like new.
