Default Dusting freshly detailed interior...

I love the look of my C5 after a fresh detail on the interior. But your standard Armor-all type products (I use the Turtle Wax 2001 stuff after I learned about the sin of armor all a few years ago). What I don't love is how the road dust sticks on the surfaces.

I have a california dash duster but that sheds like crazy. My micro fiber towel takes most of the shine away with it. Anyone have any other tricks other than re-applying or keeping the windows up? Are there other towels that would work better?

Places like Advance Auto Parts and Autozone sell a "swifter" type duster similar to the one designed for the interior of the house. It is very flexible and able to get into all the little crevices. It leaves no residue or "shed."

LEMON PLEDGE is a detailers trick. 303 PROTECTANT doesn't attract dust, either.

You should find a number of suggestions over in the Car Care Discussion section of the Forum. Several very knowledgeable people and a few professional detailers hang out in that section.

Good luck.

I use the stuff Bounty mentions but it is for the house. I specifically use "Grab-it" Dry Cloths (Johnson and Johnson product) and the stuff works great at having the dust 'cling' to it without taking any of the shine away. Been using it for years!

Have been useing a product from LIQUI TECH called LVR protectant for years. It has a suncreen, restores luster, it is lanolin-based, non oily water repellant and anti-static. Contains no silicones. Dust is not an issue. Give it a try.

I also do the same, when I do shows. I detail the dash at home and then get all the stray hairs and dust off the whole interior with a Grab-it Mit. Works awesome, won't lift the shine and gets all the dust.
