Anyone seen this hood, or know anything about the quality and look?
if i remember correctly, i've heard the hoods from these guys can go either way...QC not great i guess. damn good price for a CF hood though. i tried getting in touch with them some time ago to ask some questions and they weren't very forthcoming with info....
also, anyone with their feedback hidden on fleabay worries me big-time
based on all this, i'd stay away unless you were local and could go to their shop to look before you buy
That hood is from VIS Racing. Went to their showroom and the salesman wasn't very helpful though. As for quality, I've seen alot of their stuff on Hondas and such and I have to say that they were outstanding. Now if you don't mind dealing with A$$holes to save some money...That particular hood is VERY Highrise and may not be what you're looking for. They have a stock hood that i perfect and about the same price.
A buddy of my son's bought one for his Honda. He had a small problem with fit and couldn't even get them to call him back. He did some trimming and got it to fit...I wasn't terribly impressed with it, myself. A club member's brother in Tennessee bought one off e-bay for his Vette and couldn't get it to fit...not even close. Last I heard, he was going to try to get a replacement, but I haven't heard the outcome yet. He bought it because his friend got one and loves it.
3427 Positive feedback to 37 Negative, not too bad as long as your not on the negative list . This seller also, as far as I can tell, has the same hood for sale in another listing for $495. Guess that would save you a few dollars.

I was with him when he went down there.... They have a good finish on the product but their salemenship is
These carbon fiber hoods are lighter in weight from the stock ones - so I see the benefit of these. But do they look good.. How many ppl think they really look good? Personally, I like the Vette to look like a fully finished/flush, classy car that it is. Getting a lighter hood, or a raised hood is fine with me, as long as I can paint it the same color of the car.... But that's just my opinion. To each its own...
