Mine went away for quite a while but it's back now. You can have a tuner remove the code
My winter wheels do not have sensors, sometimes I can go 3 months without the warning and then it re-appears I was thinking it was 2001 or newer that it could be removed. Something like that.
It is a 97 and it has the 19/20 chrome z06 wheels. It has been fine since I bought it but now it is doing it. I figured it just lost a code or something but it is driving me nuts!!

From what I remember being told, you cannot disable it on a '97.
(That is what I have.)
I ended up buying a whole set of new sensors because I got tired of the warning every time I drove the car.
Did this start when you put the new wheels on?
Have you gone through the training procedure for the sensors? worth a shot IMO.
No the wheels were on it when I bought the car. They dont have the sensors on the wheels at all. When you would go through and look at the psi it would say xxx. Now out of no where it warns me when I start the car. Weird that it would just start doing it.

Hate to tell you, but I think you are stuck with it.
Buy a set of used ones and put them in the tires?
Have you tried retraining the sensors? It may be just one that isn't reading for some reason. If that doesn't work then you can replace them or on 2001 and newer you can have someone with tuning abilities remove them from the computer. 2001 and newer because the Z06 came out w/o sensors and they had to accomodate them.
If they are original, I've heard they're only good for 5-7 yrs. before the batteries start to go. Depends on when they were installed. I'd try a retrain and if that doesn't do it I'd say you're probably in for a call to Gene at Fred Beans (I believe they are the cheapest source).
