The pistons look GREAT! This picture makes the tops look a little rough, but in person they look great! Especially for 137,000 miles!

Here's a better picture of the bent radiator...I'm going to be replacing this.
Lucky that thing was not leaking after being bent like that and good luck with the rebuild on the top

Thank You! I'm quite surprised it wasn't leaking either. I'm hoping to have the heads done by this evening. And start the rebuild tomorrow....after contacting a radiator shop. <I'm hoping for something a bit custom?>

Chris was at my house today. We started wrapping his headers and swapped my Crane dual springs. Here are a few pics.

correct me if im wrong here but doesnt wrapping the headers cause condensation to build up between the header and the wrap and eventually rot out the header?

.. this was my main reason for finding a set of coated .. well that and heat ..

It's rumored...but they're Stainless headers...i'll have upgraded from them LOONG before any damage could be done. Also if you notice they're black...i'm trying my own home remedy against the rust anyways. In otherwords, i'd rather have a cooler engine bay with no chance of melting wires or sparking from plug wires, than i am worried about a 20 year life span on some headers i bought used 3 years ago.

Stu'z gotten used to seeing my car dirty. I've showed up at his house with the car semi-clean once, when i was clean as well <i'm usually stopping by after or while working on the car> His wife didn't recognize me or my car.

In other words...if he saw my car clean...i mean truely clean...i have a feeling i'd be more likely to see him cry.

The oil residue on those heads is pretty nasty....very thick and slimy. I'll be soaking the heads today before assembling them.

"Pretty Nasty" is a serious understatement. Looks like the oil wasn't changed for 20,000 miles and got baked on everywhere. So thick, it turned into a lard like grease. Chris has a LOT of cleaning to get these bad boys ready for reinstall.

That'll be OK, i've got a LOT of other things to work on as well. I'll probably get the dremel out as well
