Default Stock exhaust ?

About to do cam headers x pipe. Just like to know if any one has left there stock exhaust on? or had to switch to a aftermarket exhaust to get better flow to make things to run right.

From what I know the ti exhaust flows as well as any aftermarket, only reason that I changed was for the sound, although the ti's sound great with lt's and no cats.

I actually just got pulled over today for "non stock and too loud of an exhaust (its stock). After the officer looked under the car and under the hood he let me go. Of course when I went right by him in the other lane I was in first at 5500 rpm just letting it wind up and stayed right at 5500 next to him and I figured he just got pissed off but he couldnt get me on anything. Thats what I love about being totally stock, I can give cops a hard time right next to them like that on purpose and they got nothing on me.

I love goating the local PD's. Ive had several of them follow me right up into my driveway to look the car over, request I open the hood etc., and im like "sure officer, what are you looking for?" Then I open the garage and they see 2 more race cars and a car trailer in the side driveway. They know what I do and I dont think they like it...

And yes I have been ticketed before for "exhibition" several times, but won them in court (I think my age and gray hair gets me off every time with the judge).

Im a law abiding citizen, I just dont likethe way they profile exhaust tones and try to write tickets for it.

Sounds like you and I are an aweful lot alike. However, once they ask I look at their car. If the lights aren't on, I kindfully remind them they're on private property, and can not write me a ticket, without a search warrant. Usually they're suprised that I know my rights. But I do pop the hood for them... Got nothing but catback exhaust and a PCM reflash which they aren't going to notice anyways.

My Dodge SRT-4 that I trade'd in for the vette.. well that was a different story. FAR from stock/street legal. pulled over 4 times, hood and trunk pop'd and they STILL couldn't figure out what the heck I had going on in that thing either.

Odd. I moved from California to Texas and I'd drive off without a ticket after being stopped a good 80% of the time in California. Way too easy to talk my way out of them. Here in Texas I've gotten tickets *every* time I've been pulled over. They're like robots and decide that you're getting a ticket before they step out of their car. Oddly enough I've never been pulled over in the Vette yet. Lawyers help too; I still have a ticket that I got last September that I still haven't gone to court for.

I have/have had friends that were in law enforcement... two words... "power trip".
