Default Performance upgrade opinions

I would like some thoughts/opinions on the following setup. I have a 2004 A4 2.73 coupe with 46k miles. I have added a Z06 airbox cover, K&N filter, and WCC cold air screens. I have a Corsa Touring exhaust.

I was thinking of adding B&B shorty headers, a carbon fiber power duct and an X-pipe. Catalog specs are 10hp for the headers, 6 for the duct (B.S. according to the forum) and 8hp for the x-pipe. My question is would this be a worthwhile improvement? I would love long tubes, but I want my car to be legal. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Cheers,
Brian

i dont think you'll see any sort of performance improvement with the mods you listed.

spend the $1300 or so you would save by not getting those mods and get a used 3.42 differential from a manual transmission car and you'll be much more satisfied.

I agree....although I'd go to the 3.73 or 3.90.

They are right, go with the gears. I had 2.73s in my car I changed to 3.73 with a vig. 3200 torque converter. You can not believe the difference. The only problem is you will eat tires at a rapid rate, at least I do Best bang for the buck

Don't waste your money on the headers shorty headers will not give you anything over factory manifolds (maybe 2-4hp) not for the money. I would go with long tube headers. Everything else there you will see little differents if any. I would go with a set of 3.73 or 3.90 gears first.
