What to clean brake dust off CCW's.
What can I use to clean brake dust that has bonded in some area's of the wheel to take off safely. I have used simple green on the wheel and it took most off. Seemed to be fine. Is simple green safe to use often on polished wheels with no clearcoat?
I heard oven cleaner works real good but I dont know if its safe for the ccw's.
Let me know what you guys use and what works well.

I use Dow Bathroom Cleaner spray. You know the one with the "scrubbing bubbles". I worked for a while in a motorcylce shop and we were looking for something that would clean the motorcycle wheels and not harm the finish and doesn't melt the glue on the stick-on tire weights. We tried some harsher cleaners and even some degreasers, but we would find the stick-on tire weights on the floor the next morning. The Dow Bathroom cleaner seems to do a great job and doesn't seem to harm the finish on the wheels or the clear coat at all.
