CAGS eliminator question
When driving on the hiway at night, I like to have all the dash lites OFF.
Since the silly "MPH" indicator always stayed lit, (DUH.... If "KPH" is NOT lit, couldn't one assume one was on "MPH" scale?) I was determined to yank it out. I also installed a custom steering wheel, and needed the "airbag" lite to go away.
While I was in there getting the "MPH" and "airbag", got the "1-4 SHIFT" and "traction control" and "Seatbelt" lites as well.

Result, nice totally dark dash at nite, and if anything goes out of kilter, the "Check Gauges" lite will come on.
Yes, it's a pain in the butt to get to the guts, but I suggest that as a good time to install those shiny new gauge bezels you KNOW you want!.
If you do that, the bezel manufacturers supply excellent (really excellent!) instructions on how to get the module out of the car.

If you edit it out using HPTuners, etc., it doesn't come on either (it doesn't ever activate, vs. the cags plug where it still activates, but it prevents the solenoid from doing it's thing).
