I found one in the fuse box under the carpet in the passenger side footwell that I used to power my V1.

I picked up accessory power for my headunit from the passenger floorboard. Here's a pic. The yellow wire was the +12V switched.

Default right

It is the big thick one, connected to the ignition switch. It's very close to the DIN opening for your new radio. The wires are also a heavy gauge.

This is what I am looking for! The only problem is that I can't find this plug. I have an 04 vert, the book describes this to be in the upper left where the photo in this post shows, but I have no idea where it is. Anybody have any suggestions? My back is killing me!!!

Well thanks to ytwokc5:

Mystery solved maybe... if you read this thread on Corvetteactioncenter http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/...ccessory+power

It looks like the accessory power was removed on the 04's....
It appears it is gone as my back and patience can attest!
