I just finished installing a XM Commander. I had to run to this forum two different times to look up information. Thanks to everyone who post How-To's.
Good job... I have a MyFi XM and I just got the CD changer harness and GM-AUX10 so I can wire it into the AUX function and ditch my stupid FM modulator.

That's a really clean installation. I always admire the ones that look OEM, or at least like they "belong" there. Yours easily qualifies. Congrats.
I still can't wrap my head around "paying" for the radio, though... Especially since getting the iPod installed. I had a loaner car last week with XM and experienced it for the very first time. Very cool, indeed, but I wasn't impressed enough to want to spend the coin, at least not yet.
The ash tray is still accessible. I wanted to be able to put everything back to stock later, so I fabricated a new ash tray door out of plexiglass to mount the commander. I covered the door in carbon fiber vinyl for that bling affect. Even though the ash tray is accessible I still smoke my cohibas outside
