Default Need a Part#

Local azzhole dealership wont give me a part# over the phone. They say they dont give part#'s or prices

Need the part # for the C5 Center Console Retainer, the oval-shaped plastic gizmo that the shift boot fits over. TIA

Are you talking about the plastic ring that the boot is stapled too?

If so you are out of luck. You can only get the ring if you buy a new boot. You might get in touch with Gene at Gene's Karshop and see if he has any boots for sale.

Yes, thats the one. I know the retainer comes with boot which is why I decided to apply a temp fix 3 years when I broke the plastic retainer in trying to apply an aftermarket boot.

With receiving a new boot and *** in from Vette Essentials, its going to be time to replace the retainer. So I will need that oval retainer one way or another for the new VE Shift boot.

PN 10298246 is the part number for the 1997 INDY parking brake lever boot.

Incidentally, you can almost always look up your own part numbers using GM Parts Direct.

Yes, But I believe you need the part #. I certainly didnt have any luck with the name.
