Sometimes yes, the price is too high. But, with the limited market for the parts, I can see why prices tend to be higher for a Corvette part than for something that has a high production run.
Is it me or does anyone eles feel that the prices of tale light blackouts, billets and the Corvette lettering for the exterior of the car is way too expensive? I mean a lot of this stuff just sticks to the car with 3M tape. My wife thinks that I am being a tightwad. Am I missing something here?
Cheap is realative so dont let it bother you. Last I saw, idea of cheap is not in the wedding vows. If this was important to your wife then she should have married somone who doesnt care about spending any amount of hard-earned money on anything. And tell her that the next time she whips out 101 money-saving coupons in the food checkout isle
Of the things you mentioned you will not find any of them on my car.
-Blackouts, why so i can get rearended?
-Billet taillight peices, i'll save those for the 50+ crowd. IMO they look horrible.
-Lettering for the rear bumper, it already says Corvette. Do really need to emphasize it and let everyone know without a shadow of a doubt what it is? Looks cheesie in my opinion.
The stock rear of a C5 flows great, why muck it up with all the aftermarket BS just because the parts are available? By being cheap you are saving the world from another tastlessly modded Vette. Thanks. I guess i'm cheap too.
