Gotta question. I took my 99 vette to the Chevrolet dealership (Concord, NC)a few weeks back and had them fix the A/C because it was not cooling. Of course it was only a $7 part and cost $300 to fix it. Anyway yesterday I was driving down the road and the air started squealing and the air was very faint coming out. So I turned off the A/C and back on again and it was fine for another 3 minutes or so.
Anyone have a clue what it could be? When I first bought the car it sounded like a leaf or something in there when the air was running but it quit and now this issue. I really dont want to take this back to Ben Mynatt so I wont get screwed again
I don't know what the squealing is other than a belt or bearings in the compressor. The belt would probably do it all the time it is running. But if you don't mind me asking, what was the original problem and what part was it?
