Default C6 shifters

I have a new Z06 and am thinking of changing the shifter. I had a ripper shifter in my C4 and took it out. It was too notchey for me and I missed lots of 2-3 shifts at the track. I switched to the Hurst Competition plus (stalk only on stock shifter) and it was much better.
Now I'm looking at the new Hurst shifter for the c6 as well as for the Z06 and am wundering if it is notchey like the B & M? Does any one have the Hurst installed? Thanks for your comments

I sell a lot of the C6 Z06 shifter. They don't have that notchy feeling like you get from a lot of other ****ers. They will work for both the C5 and C6. Let me know if I can help you at all. 484-931-4800 or jfink@fredbeans.com

Default c-6 shifter

My new shifter should arrive today however I have other issues that need to be worked out first like a rear end seal repair and CV joints leaking grease! It goes into GM tomorrow morn and will also get an RPS clutch replacement. Then it's off to Cartek for the exhaust /intake air box install and tuning - then I do the shifter . But I will be sure to post the results - I also Have a close friend who purchased his MTI shifter the day before I did and his arrived yesterday - it will be installed in a few days-1week. He has an 02 Z06 and has the Breathless Perf. shifter that is very stiff and notchy. I'll let you know how his works out too.
After speaking to the guys at MTI they say they are road racers and they need short throw, low effort, quick shifts with out the notchyness. This is exactly what they say they have produced -we'll see.

I just installed a C6 Z06 Shifter in my 02 Z yesterday. It's 100 times better than the stock shifter. Very prescise shifts, shorter throw, performance feel, and awesome looks. I don't know how it compares to some of the aftermarket shifters out there, but it's a nice shifter indeed. Good luck!
