I'm not sure, but it's been a lot. People who think we have some rare exotic are kidding themselves. I love my car but...

The number I have heard is in the 250,000 range. I'm sure someone will have the exact production count. Makes sense, 30,000+ produced annually for 8 years.

Thru August of 2004 there were 248,925. Rarest color was produced in 1998, only 15 in Aztec Gold.

It would be interesting to know how many are still titled/registered.

Thanks for this interesting information, this is the number I supposed.

In Europe we can say that the Corvette is a rare exotic car because we really do not see a lot of them on the road !(How many C5 have been exported to Europe ? I suppose 10% = 3500/year) I have been in the NY area in July and could count much more Porsche than Corvette ( In 3 days I counted 3 Ferrari, 6 Corvettes and 16 Porsche!). I use to be a Porsche fan but changed my mind with my C5 and my future C6 Z06 that I'll receive this month. Porsche has changed is politic starting with the 996 (boring car) that is built in high quantities and we can not say it is a rare exotic car anymore. The last "real" 911 with great driving feeling is the 993.
