Hey guys, I know this is probably a stupid question but due to insurance reasons I am no longer driving the is300 as a daily driver and the Z06 as a weekend car. Now the Z for at least the next month or so is going to be my daily driver. I usually or actually NEVER used the AC in the vette but the way the weather has been lately it's a must. I noticed the clutch seems alot different when the AC is on full blast. Is this normal ? and what exactly is happening that makes it feel different ?
With the AC on high, the super cold cabin air is causing all the components in the clutch assembly to contract. This results in excessive clearance (slop), thus producing the 'different feel'. People with A4 cars never notice this effect, for obvious reasons.
I can offer 2 solutions:
1. Wrap your clutch pedal & lever with a good quality insulation.
2. Turn down the AC.

'03 vert with MN6 here and nothing unusual with clutch when AC is on. Can you provide more specifics as to what you mean by "alot different"? When the AC compressor kicks in, it will put an additional load on the engine. Could this be what you are experiencing?
