I was wondering what kind of prices would you think we might see on a 02 z06 when it starts getting close to winter and prices drop. I would want one with about 30k miles on it. They are just slightly out of my prices range but if people think they might be dropping I might wait to pick one up instead of jumping the gun and buying a regular c5 or something like an evo. Thanks

Prices do seem to drop a touch during the winter months, but I doubt it would be enough to make them go from out of your price range to in your price range.

I waited until late October last year to purchase my Z06: Black '02 w/2,800 miles for $32K. The prices will drop during the winter months, potentially saving you a few thousand dollars.
I thought about selling mine (02 EB ZO6) but it has almost 60,000 miles. Although it looks immaculate and the engine compartment is spotless, full maintenance logs, uses no oil, and never raced, my mileage probably knocks the price to the mid to low 20s. Nobody wants a high mielage Z.

Hey,
I just bought my 2002 QS with 68,000 miles on it about three months ago for $27,000 It was IMMACULATE though.. No way would I have paid that if it wasn't perfect, but it truly looks and behaves like a new car.. I couldn't believe how lucky I was to find it. I'm in California though, which seems to command slightly higher prices that other places.

See I hate this... people think they're ruined if they have over 30k on them. Mine has 63k and is better and stronger than the day I got her.
This is why I'm not getting a C6 yet... I'd get killed on my car. High (to a vette buyer) miles, HPDE use, paint chips behind the wheels, got hit 2 weeks after I got her so had to have the left 1/4 replaced, just the body panel only but still accident damage to a buyer.
My car is worth a bunch more to me than it is to an actual corvette buyer... NADA and KBB tell me what I like to hear, but in reality there are too many low mileage ones out there to get.

The guy that I bought my Z06 from has 2 more that he just got in. One is a silver 02 with long tube headers a nice cam and some other work. It has 2300 miles on it and i think he's under 35K. The other is A black 04 with higher milage and thats also under 35K. You can go on line and look at them at Highlineimport.com. the guy is very reasonable.
my camaro SS had 23k miles on it (i was one of the lucky ones to get an ls6 block ) before a tree fell on it, and ended its life......but like others have said, i think that it was still breaking in. It seems like there is more power now, then there was when it only had 5k miles on it. It is the same engine as a Z06....
I would buy a 60k mile Z06 in a heartbeat if the price was right

I bought an '02 in January this year with 1780 miles. Amazing so many of these never got driven. I've since put 1300 miles on it.
Well I just bought an 01 MY Z 06 with 70k miles on it. Funny you would think the thing was ready for the scrap yard and combined with the oil burning image you can grab an 01 pretty cheap. I had no issues with the mileage. I just picked one that had 2 owners that drove the car but most importantly maintained it properly. As for the oil burning rep...I doubt many high mileage cars would have it. This one was re ringed long ago. I had been looking for a 99 or 00 FRC and for pretty much the same price got a Z 06...I will let you all know about high mileage because within two years I am betting mine will be pushing 100k!
