Default X-pipe question

Hey guys, is there any real difference between most of the x-pipes besides brand name. I am currently looking at magnaflow, corsa, and a WCC one. I was wondering what the difference between them would be. thanks

I put the Bassani x pipe on instead of the corsa because I felt it would balance better because of the design as opposed to the corsa. The bassani looks very similar to the magna flow and I'm not sure what the wcc one looks like but I like the way it sounds just my .02

The bassani x-pipe is a true x-pipe and if I'm not mistaken so is the maganaflow. The Corsa, random, and borlas are just cut out and welded together. They all basically function the same way, but the bassani and magnaflow have a little more cross sectional area so they may flow marginally better. I personally have the Corsa X to go along with my Corsa Indy Exhaust. It does clean up the sound somewhat and helps eliminate popping so I'm pretty happy.

i have the magna flow i think. it is a true x. it made my corsa mufflers way quieter than the h pipe. got rid of most pop pop pop on decel and also most of the gurgle gurgle at idle. i was not very happy at firsst because of the way mellowed out tone. i put on some shorty headers and most of its voice came back. i dont think it does much to the performance. at least not a noticeable amount. i do think the true x's
would be the better of the two types. just seems if you are going that route might as well be all the way x.... rather than just kinda.....

Take a close look at the actual X section of those you are considering. The Bassani is the one of the truest X sections in that the design scavenges from side to side because the flow really crosses from the left and right. The previous post is right, most X pipes are just cut out and welded together with little or no scavenging effect. I have the Bassani with the Corsa Indy's and there is no popping. It also really evened out the motorboat sounding idle. I love the sound

so the magnaflow would probably be the way to go out of the three because it is a true x-pipe?

magna flow and bassani are tru X designs. the corsa is of great quality material and fitment from what i have found but the actual x is not a true crossover of exhaust. and does not scavange the gas's as much as the true X pipes do. scavanging being the actual draw/ siphon affect that they are designed to do. now that i have said what i found out after way too much research into getting mine. they dont add any noticeable power to the car!!!! so if you are going to get one i would recomend getting a magna flow at a mienike muffler shop or one compareable. mine is a stainless magnaflow and cost around $115-$125 installed. much better than the $235-$300 i have seen the corsa's, bassani's, and others even more, not installed.

I put a Corsa X-Pipe with my Corsa Cat Back and I've had no trouble or popping.
